چکیده
The morphological and thermal properties of composites containing a bioplastic blend micro/nano-sized biochar from pyrolyzed jatropha seeds microwave were investigated using scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, differential calorimetry. biocomposite samples exhibited brittle structure with slightly ductile chip-like appearance. spectroscopy results for the PLA/PEMA/BC bio-composites comparable to PLA/BC biocomposites. A lower bio-filler content had more pronounced peak intensities than higher added PEMA compatibilizer in showed peaks, which indicated improved bonding/interaction between matrix. Overall, increasing did not drastically affect functional groups Thermogravimetric calorimetry analysis developed biocomposites slight improvement stability, comparison PLA sample. Improvements stability could be attributed additional hydroxyl group, was due PLA/BC. According biocomposites, reasonable stability.

Effects of Biomass in Polyethylene or Polylactic Acid Composites
There is need for bioplastics to replace some of the total petroleum plastics used in the world, and help alleviate environmental pollution. Compounding bioplastics with Polyethylene (PE) or Polylactic acid (PLA) containing a dairy-based bioplastic resulted in composites with good mechanical properties. In this study, mass ratios of a dairy-protein-based material (DBP) ranging from 0, 5, 10 and...

Thermal properties—such as thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and specific heat—of metal (copper, zinc, iron, and bronze) powder-filled high-density polyethylene composites are investigated experimentally in the range of filler content 0–24% by volume. Experimental results show a region of low particle content, 0–16% by volume, where the particles are distributed homogeneously in the po...
متن کاملEnhancement of the Mechanical Properties of Basalt Fiber-Wood-Plastic Composites via Maleic Anhydride Grafted High-Density Polyethylene (MAPE) Addition
This study investigated the mechanisms, using microscopy and strength testing approaches, by which the addition of maleic anhydride grafted high-density polyethylene (MAPE) enhances the mechanical properties of basalt fiber-wood-plastic composites (BF-WPCs). The maximum values of the specific tensile and flexural strengths are achieved at a MAPE content of 5%-8%. The elongation increases rapidl...

15 صفحه اولRelationship between the Polymeric Ionization Degree and Powder and Surface Properties in Materials Derived from Poly(maleic anhydride-alt-octadecene).
Polymeric materials derived from poly(maleic anhydride-alt-octadecene)-here referred as PAM-18-have shown interesting properties that make them potential pharmaceutical excipients. In this work, eight polymers derived from PAM-18 were obtained using NaOH and KOH at 1:1; 1:0.75, 1:0.5, and 1:0.25 molar ratios. The resulting products were labeled as PAM-18Na and PAM-18K, respectively. Each polyme...
